Terms and Conditions

Welcome to my psychotherapy practice. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of my services, including in-person and online sessions, as well as your interactions with this website. By engaging in therapy or using this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Therapy Sessions

Duration: Each therapy session lasts for 50 minutes.

Initial Consultation: The initial consultation fee must be paid in advance before the session. This consultation will include a discussion of your needs, the proposed therapeutic approach, and any questions you may have.

Ongoing Sessions: Once therapy is agreed upon, fees for all scheduled sessions are payable in full, regardless of whether the session is attended or cancelled, even with advance notice. This policy ensures the commitment and consistency required for effective therapy.

Cancellations: If the therapist cancels a session for any reason, no fee will be charged for that session. Similarly, no fees are charged during holiday breaks arranged by the therapist.

2. Fees and Payment

Payment Schedule: After the initial consultation, fees are paid monthly upon receipt of the invoice. Payments must be made promptly by the due date specified on the invoice.

Payment Method: Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or any other method agreed upon during the initial consultation.

Fee Adjustments: Any changes to fees will be discussed with you in advance and will typically be reviewed annually.

3. Confidentiality

Client Information: All information shared during therapy sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties without your explicit consent, except in circumstances where there is a legal obligation or a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

Data Protection: Personal data collected during therapy and through the website is handled in accordance with UK data protection laws. This includes ensuring that your data is securely stored and only accessible to authorized personnel.

4. Online Therapy

Platform: Online therapy sessions are conducted via a secure, encrypted platform to ensure your confidentiality and privacy.

Technical Issues: If technical difficulties occur during an online session, efforts will be made to reschedule it as soon as possible.

Location: To maintain the confidentiality of the therapeutic process, clients must ensure they are in a private and secure location during online sessions.

6. Cancellation and Termination of Therapy

Client-Initiated Cancellation: You may terminate therapy at any time, but fees for scheduled sessions during the week will still be paid in full.

Therapist-Initiated Termination: The therapist reserves the right to terminate therapy if it is deemed that the therapeutic process is no longer beneficial or if the therapeutic relationship has broken down. In such cases, no further fees will be charged, and referrals to other professionals may be provided if appropriate.
