CODE OF ETHICS

What To Expect?

Seeking help takes courage. Feeling safe is vital to getting the most out of any mode of psychotherapy.

I am committed to good practice, ethical conduct, and continuous learning and development, as required by the professional bodies with which I am affiliated.

During our initial consultation, I will discuss and agree with you the session fees, your requirements concerning the length of therapy, methods of practice to be used, and terms and conditions. We will also discuss how your confidentiality will be protected during and after your therapy. This includes an explanation of how your data will be used and stored. We will create a clear written contract between us, outlining what you can expect and what we have agreed.

Fundamentally, I will always behave in your best interests. You can expect to be treated with respect. You should not feel judged by me at any time because of your sex, age, colour, race, disability, gender identity, communication skills, sexuality, lifestyle, religious, cultural or political beliefs, social-economic or immigration status.

I will always respect your autonomy. I will never tell you what to do. Instead, you can expect to be encouraged to make your own decisions and act on your own values.
I am DBS checked and bound by safeguarding duties and a code of ethics.
